Today's date is Sixth day of the Seventh month.
Tomorrow is such a memorial day that I can't help but to write something about them!
Tomorrow is the Seventh day of the Seventh month which is a very beautiful day of a legend.
Tanabata; as what Japanese culture name them, Chilseok; what Korean culture call them and Qi Xi; as of the Chinese culture name it.
Tanabata or Chilseok or Qi Xi is a well-famous folklore that I'm sure all the kind know their tragic story. Every culture had their own way of expressing the story, different character, different ways of meeting but its all the same in the end.
The story center of the love between a man, widely known as a shepherd, and a weaving princess. That goddess name was Orihime in Japanese version, Jinknyeo in Korean version and Zhi Nu (read as Zhi nv) in Chinese version. They met a man at the other side and immediately fall inlove with him. Her father, agree on their meeting and hence, they get married. However, after they wed, they neglected their duties as the shepherd and a weaving princess. The princess' father was thoroughly disappointed and in anger, he forbade them from meeting each other. Thus, he created a milky way to separated the couple from meeting each other. They can only met once a year ; on the Seventh day of the Seventh month.
However there's also a different story but I'm too lazy to write them. Go do some research if you're interested! The story above are majorly from Japanese and Korean culture. In Chinese culture, they got married without the consent of the princess' mother (or so i thought which i dun rmb) so in a rage, the princess' mother create the milky way to separate them both. So, people take that day as a day that grant happiness to couples and people make their wish during that day. It is say that during that time, they will grant one's wish if they truly believe in their existence and have faith in their own partners.
Lovely, ain't it? Even though just once a year, they love each other until the end.
I'm sorry you have to read this long of essay post from me.. xDD
